Your media stays local

Splayed indexes and searches your media on your own device. Your files, indexes, and search queries are not uploaded to us or stored on our servers.

What we collect

We may collect basic app and website analytics, such as page views and feature usage, to improve the product.

When you open the website, we check whether your device can run Splayed. If it cannot, we record its browser user agent, operating-system platform, CPU architecture, and graphics renderer with an anonymous session token. We use this information to understand demand for Windows, Intel Mac, Linux, and mobile support. You may optionally add an email address to that record if you ask us to notify you when your platform is supported.

AI agents and third parties

If you connect an AI agent such as Claude or ChatGPT, only the results you explicitly request are shared with that agent, under its own terms and privacy policy.

Your choices

You can opt out of update emails at any time. To request deletion of any data you have shared with us, contact support@splayed.ai.
